Huan Wang is a founding partner of Pacific Gate Partners and Managing Director in China, where he is well connected to all major strategic and financial investors. Before founding Pacific Gate Partners, he worked for Agave Partners from 2014 to 2018 as Managing Director responsible for cross board transactions (M&A and private placement) between US/Europe and China. At Agave Partners, Huan Wang managed over $1B transactions for US and European companies in China. Prior to Agave Partners, Mr. Wang was the General Manager of APAC for Active Power (Nasdaq: ACPW, a renewable energy company) from 2009 to 2014. At Active Power, Mr. Wang led the region’s sales growth by 300% and entered into utility and datacenter market successfully. Before Active Power, Mr. Wang has got more than 15 years of experience in networking and telecom. He co-founded ReachStone Technologies in 2004 and was the CEO of the company before it was successfully acquired by Qihoo 360 – one of the largest internet security company in China, in 2009.
Before founding ReachStone, he worked as the Director of Marketing and Asia Sales at IP Dynamics based in San Jose, California US, from 2000 to 2004. IP Dynamics is an infrastructure software company provides network security solutions for telco operators. AT IP Dynamics, he managed the key partnership with strategic partners and helped the company successfully raised over $35 million investments, investors including Intel Capital and Fidelity. Prior to IP Dynamics, Mr. Wang worked for Asiainfo Technologies (Nasdaq: ASIA) for 5 years. Asiainfo is one of the largest telecom Operation Support System (OSS) company and system integrator worldwide. He was the Director of marketing and the project management at Asiainfo before the company listed on Nasdaq in Year 2000.
